Me trying to channel my inner interior designer, I do think Nate Berkus would be proud. While tempting to dabble in the art of "Feng Shui," I also managed to make myself feel a little more at home. I was then influenced to spend countless hours on Anthropologie's webiste, amlessly trying to find a door mat just quint enough to fit into my humble-abode. The loft in which I call home seems to cause me a lot of trials and errors...it is quite difficult finding the perfect amount of perfection. Thanks to Homesense and Anthro for making this photo possible...oh and lest I not forget the accents brought out by Boyfriend's collection of instruments.

Regardless it is Essential

Time for a Model Moment

Yuri Pleskun is a Ukrainian, a Dunks wearer and believer in energies...somethings that are particular to his "Model as a Muse." His down-to-earth persona, "Shine" tattoo and quirky employment past gives him the industry edge as a model. At the ripe age of merely 21, and being discovered over three years ago he has a long expected carrier ahead of him. He has a strong love for family, his roots seem to be of great importance and his family is always first and foremost. This is evident in the ink that sits upon his right arm, his privileged need to care for his grandfather, and his constant cravings for perogies. His childhood was like many other adolescents in the sense that, to put loosely, was "tough." But his low key lifestyle and wholesome family values made him the soft soul he is today. Yuri is a true heart, a young model with boyish charm and devilish good looks. He puts photographers and designers at ease, for his beauty comes from within.

Peters Industrie Special

Peter Phillips was recently interviewed for Industrie Magazine this past month, educating us all on his "meetings" with The Kaiser of fashion, his rise to fame, and why tattoos are suddenly in such high demand. Peter brings a certain sense of pride and modesty through his thoughts. His pride is in his work and his modesty is in his fame. Peter is a prime example of how true artists and eccentric minds live in a world that everyday is a challenge to create the unknown, no matter the success. Throughout his interview he is sincere and gracious in his words, but hidden under that sultry five-oclock shadow is a real edgy persona. For his unconventional work as a makeup artist has got him teaming up with the prestigious Karl Lagerfeld.

The City to Icon

Olivia Palermo is brilliant. Her intuition of fashion and knack for the eclectic is evident in her clothes. Her impeccable taste is inevitable time and time again, everything from her vintage Hermes, boutique jewelry, and a man candy to tie it all together. Her classic beauty creates a palette that enables any style to be sculpted to her. For some people the clothes wear them and others wear the clothes. Olivia owns the clothes. She takes the simplicity of a sheer chiffon blouse and pencil woven skirt and creates a masterpiece of art. A painting of design. She truly is an icon of what endless possibilities are fermented with the essentials of design. Essentials that any red-blooded american would own, but Olivia isnt the average women, she is a muse, a lover of the luxury of art, and an artist.

Double Trouble

The worldly success and growth of the contemporary line "The Row" has made designers and the CFDA stop and stare. For the multi-talented dynamic duo of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen success is second nature and raw talent is a given. They bring, what some say, a new future to fashion. With an award on the horizon by the Council of Fashion, the once Fullhouse-Twinsation-phenomenon could be Swarovskis choice for this years Womenswear line. An award which many world renowned designers have been so graciously dubbed with. They have tweaked from film to fashion and child-stars to icons. But most importantly they have created a label that undoubtedly proves the emense talent these articulate designers possess.

Anti-Social Networking

I have decided that this "blog" thing is completely over done. I know, I know Social Networking is the it thing to do as of Myspace, Twitter and of course Facebook (all hale Mark Zukerburg.) Now don't get my wrong, the power and resources that come within the world of web are phenomenal...but I still have my reserves. Maybe I'm just a skeptic or a realist or maybe it is just plain jealousy? Ya that is it! How!? I ask! How does a nobody become a somebody over night!? I'll tell you how, with the mere result of uploading a YouTube video, or raising money (including from their own pocket) for a good cause, or captioning an abstract photo of their daily fashion!? How does this media circus really work? How do they decide who makes the cut? Who has "the look"? Who has the backbone? or who has "the Star" quality? It continually itches at me, keeps me up at night, and causes me to question why social networking is so ridiculously popular!? is it a contest, a need for acceptance, an addiction or is it just plain interest?....well my friends I guess i'll never know. But! I better get a move on with my day...my Facebook says I have five new updates ;)
